No matter where you ended the night, at some point in the evening, you had to stick your head in H-Street, if for no other reason, just to see who was there. You would probably see Gary and Slash, serving cold beer, telling jokes and flirting with the girls. And who could forget the men's room with the best graffiti in Chapel Hill? It gave many of us a mantra to live by. Stick around long enough and a bachelorette party, or group of bar golfers, would come in to do some shots. Whether it was Tim or Kevin, you had to love a bar, where if you wanted to see the owner, just look to your right, and say hello. Henderson Street Bar, you had to love it!

I'll see and RAISE the rest of you: my (now) husband ASKED ME OUT the very first time at H-Street. SUCH good memories...and by the way, we were VERY uppity b/c Henderson Street was a GRAD SCHOOL crowd by '96...not the immature undergrads. Obviously marrying material.

Still remember helping Tim rebuild the bar after the fire, was it 1984 or 1985? What a great bar, wish it was still there and I was still in it!

I spent a LOT of time here in the mid-80s. Beer is good for you!

I lived in this bar during my post-college years ('85-'88). I pursued graduate studies in cheap draft beer. Still fondly remember Gene and Joe (where are they now?).

This shirt definitely takes me back to 1992.
